1991 yılında Ä°stanbul’da doÄŸdu.
2005 yılında Hisar EÄŸitim Vakfı Okulları ilköÄŸretim eÄŸitimini, ‘Plastik Sanatlar Ödülü’nü alarak tamamladı. Ä°lk solo sergisini Feyziye Mektepleri Vakfı AyazaÄŸa Işık Lisesi’nden mezun olurken gerçekleÅŸtirdi.
2009-2013 seneleri arası University of the Arts London Chelsea College of Art and Design’da Lisans eÄŸitimini dereceyle tamamladı. 2014 yılında ise University of the Arts London Chelsea College of Art and Design’da Yüksek Lisans eÄŸitimi aldı. Londra’daki eÄŸitimi süresince birçok workshop ve sergiye katıldı.
2015 yılında baÅŸladığı Yeditepe Üniversitesi Plastik Sanatlar Fakültesi Sanatta Yeterlilik Doktora Programı’na halen devam etmektedir.
Çalışmalarına Ä°stanbul’daki atölyesinde devam eden sanatçı, araÅŸtırmalarını dünyada ve Ä°stanbul’da çok-kültürlülüÄŸün mekanlara yansıması üzerine yapmaktadır. Mekanları insanların iç dünyasına bir yolculuÄŸu olarak gören sanatçı, kim olduÄŸumuzu biçimlendiren bu mekanları çeÅŸitli teknikler ile yansıtmaktadır.
Ece Beylikci was born in Istanbul in 1991.
She completed her primary education at the Hisar Education Foundation’s School and received the Excellence in Plastic Arts award. She had her first solo exhibition as she graduated from high school at Feyziye Schools Foundation Ayazaga Isık High School.
In 2013 she graduated from University of the Arts London Chelsea College of Art and Design with honors. In 2014 she completed her graduate studies at the University of the Arts London Chelsea College of Art and Design. While she lived in London, she attended many workshops and participated in several group exhibitions. In 2015 she started her PHD studies at the Yeditepe University’s Plastic Arts Department in Istanbul where she currently is a doctorate student.
As Ece continues her work at her studio in Istanbul, she concentrates on the themes of the reflection of multiculturalism on spaces. She sees space as the echo of the inner journeys of people and also a determining factor of cultural identities. She likes to incorporate these themes into her work and explores different mediums to convey them in her art.
